At Lamis Khamis we want you to get the best wear out of your garments. We make every effort in sourcing the best fabrics and materials to produce your garments, its wash, care and longevity is based on how its taken care of by our customer. All our pieces come with a washing instructions label stitched on the inside of the garment. Its always best to refer to this as each garment is made using different fabrics so the washing guide varies.
Please see below tips on how to prolong the look and wear of your garments.
We recommend for hand or machine wash garments to use a washing detergent that is for delicate items and use a colour washing detergent for dark or bright colours. Liquid detergents are always better as the washing powders don't dissolve as well on low temperature washes and can sometimes leave a residue.
It’s always best to flat dry your garments to avoid stretching. But if the garment label states it can be tumble dried then its best to tumble dry your garment inside out to avoid damage to any prints or designs on the garment. Also avoid overloading your drier and putting other garments in the drier that have sharp objects like zips or velcro fastenings as that can pull and damage the garments. Its always advisable to tumble dry on a low temperature at all times.
If you machine wash your garment the lower the temperature the better your garment will keep its original look as high heats effect the fabrics and colours and can cause shrinkage. If your item is heavily soiled then there is a wide range of products that you can use to pre-soak or target the stain before washing. This avoids using a higher temperature for washing. Its always advisable to wash your garment inside out unless otherwise stated differently on the washing label.
If your garment states it can be ironed then its always advised to iron the garment inside out to avoid damage to prints or embellishments and use a low temperature setting.
Leather or Suede garments are recommended to be cleaned by a professional garment specialist. For care of leather garments we recommend you keep it on a well shaped or padded hanger to avoid distorting the shoulder line.
Please be advised these are general guidelines and Lamis Khamis is not held responsible for garments that are wrongly washed or where instructions have not been followed.
