What a great turnout we had for our Punk Customise workshop at The Design Museum, in Shad Thames, London.
We had attendees of all ages from. From a young girl of 4 years old to a lady of 80. It was great seeing all the different assortment of items which were brought in to customise and up-cycle in the style of punk to celebrate 40 years of Punk history.
People brought tea towels, tops, band t-shirts, denim jackets and bags. Items they wanted to give it that edge and put a their own take of what they think the Punk movement was about.
We had an array of trimmings to embellish with. From studs, zippers, safety pins, markers, spray paint and stencils.
It was a full workshop with over 45 people attending. We demonstrated to every attendee a few little tips on how to transform their items and that got everyone in the spirit and producing some fabulous pieces. We couldn't pick a favorite as they were all exceptional and unique.
The weekend at The Design Museum was part of a list of events throughout the whole year of 2016 to celebrate 40 Years of Punk which was held at numerous known locations in London.
There was exhibitions, workshops, talks and bands at the Museum making it a great close to The Design Museum before they move to their new location in Holland Park.
